Gallery space, UCA Maidstone

Maidstone offers all sorts of opportunities to help you develop your career within the creative arts.

Bazaars, community projects, gallery spaces and public spaces like the Royal Star Arcade and Fremlin Walk shopping centres - it's easy to get involved in Maidstone's creative community. Here are some activities to whet your appetite:

  • Maidstone Visual Artists' Network - Meets monthly to give Maidstone's visual artists the opportunity to network, talk about artistic practice, support and talk about ideas for future projects
  • Bizarre Bazaar -Artists and designer makers are invited to sell their work at an arts and crafts market in partnership with the Farmers' Market
  • Arts Development and Art in the Public Realm - The place to find out all the latest info about the arts in Maidstone
  • Through the Looking Glass, Rose Yard - Display your work for free! The Council's old Borough Line Office hosts a changing programme of work by students, beginners and mid-career artists, designers and makers - all viewed by passers-by.

The George Rodger Gallery is located at UCA Maidstone and hosts exhibitions relating to the subject specialisms of the campus. It also shows international exhibitions and work produced by current and former students and staff.
