MA Animation

1 year full-time or 2 years part-time

The MA Animation course at UCA Farnham attracts students from around the world. Within this rich cultural mix your independent learning, thinking and development of personal enquiry develops through an open, supportive and professional environment. Building on the long history of animation at UCA Farnham you will find a strong interdisciplinary approach to the animated form in traditional 2D and 3D stop motion animation.

By studying animation at a Masters level you will approach the subject as a broad discipline and you will be encouraged to confidently engage with experimental and speculative approaches to making through given projects culminating in the production of a high quality animated film.

We offer a dynamic and exciting environment for studying the critical theory of animation and you will engage with practices of reading and writing about the subject as well as the craft of making, which characterises our committed study at postgraduate level.
