D&AD Awards
Congratulations to Stuart Sutch, who won 1st Prize for the Graphic Design Packaging 2009 D&AD Student Awards.
Stuart was awarded the Yellow Pencil Award, certificate and £750.00.

Free Range
The 9th annual student art and design show, Free Range, is Europe's largest with thousands of UK graduates work shown over 8 weeks from May to July 2009.
Anthony Fern a multi disciplinary Graphic Designer and 2009 BA Hons Graphic Design graduate had his work showcased at Free Range.

Success at PaperCo's Brief Encounters Graphic Design Student Competition
Congratulations to Tom Trett who was a Gold Award Winner at the 2008 PaperCo's Brief Encounter Competition.
Tom won for an innovative sign and display boards designed for a reception or exhibition area.
The packaging awards proved a bonanza for the University for the Creative Arts with Rosie Upright winning Silver, Phoebe Richardson being awarded Bronze and Elio Trapani commended.
Stephen Rooney was also awarded a silver place in the recycled office product category.

2008
Award and Nomination Galore
Nikolas Levantis a 2008 Graphic Design Graduate was short listed for the Design Week Awards 2008 in Editorial Design - finger print Circulating ideas. He attended the Awards Ceremony on 4th March. Unfortunately he didn't win but his work will be in the book.
Two 'Year Zero' Graphic Design students, Luke White and Anna Kostiuk, were among the top 20 nationally in a competition brief organised by Durex.
Karen Hamilton a second-year student has been awarded a prestigious RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts Manufactures and Commerce) Design Directions Award 2007/2008. She is studying for a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design.
Egon Lastad, Theo Cooter, Sarah Bates, Robert Tenconi, Mark Franklin and Matthew Plummer, Graphic Design students, were selected for the national 'D&AD Student Awards Annual'. Denny Wong and Darryl Hayter were also shortlisted for the 'RSA Design Awards'.
Frederico Aragao, Graphic Design graduate, won £2,500 from the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) for designing a set of playing cards to promote healthy eating. This award gave him the chance to work for three months in a London-based design consultancy. He also collected a prize of £1500 for an educational card game to encourage primary school children in healthier eating, in the University Creative Innovation Awards.
2005
Michelle James, who graduated in 2005, was commended for her entry to the Steel Packaging Design category of the Steel Packaging Design Awards (SPDA), organized by Corus. Mary Osinibi and Michelle James, 2005 graduates, had their work featured in the D&AD Student Annual. Michelle Furniss, first class graduate of 2005, was one of only four students to be featured in Dazed & Confused's review of the Free Range exhibitions.
Rebecca Parkes won the Silver Award in the Business Gifts Section of the 'Paper Company Brief Encounters 2005 Awards'. Neil Alexander was highly commended and Jocasta Allwood, Elizabeth Grist and Katherine Luther were all highly commended for their work with Fasson Self-Adhesive materials."
