Student Development Services
Around 6,500 students study across our five campuses.
There is much more to the university experience than just learning about a particular subject. University offers students the opportunity to grow intellectually and personally, to acquire professional and life skills, to reflect their goals and ambitions. At the University for the Creative Arts we strive to support all of our students to fulfil their potential and to prepare them to contribute to the creative industries locally and globally.
The Student Services team provides welfare and pastoral support to students. We assist students to resolve personal problems which impact on their academic achievement in a way that enables them to develop life skills to support their personal and professional aspirations.
For many students this will be their first time living away from home and it can sometimes be a challenging time for them. For more mature students a return to education may mark a significant change to their career or their personal life. Regardless of age, experience or resources, most students will at some time require help or advice outside of their academic studies. it could be that they are homesick, having financial problems, or perhaps wondering if they may be dyslexic. When this occurs, we are available to help.
