Eating and drinking

With more than 80 restaurants and pubs to choose from - many offering student deals - you'll find that today's student does far better than beans on toast for dinner.

Shopping

Canterbury's shops provide something for everyone. Grab the latest must-have item in the new Whitefriars retail centre with all the high street favourites, or find something more individual on the cobbled alleyways packed with boutiques and gift shops.

Cinema and theatre

There are lots of small scale theatre productions, cutting edge dramas, classics, comedies, musical theatre, stand up comedy and concerts on offer with great student concessions. Movie-goers can catch a box office hit or an indie film at one of the local cinemas.

Pubs and clubs

With so many students in the city, Canterbury has plenty of pubs and clubs to suit all tastes. There is lots going on in Ashford, Maidstone, Rochester and, of course, London too. All are within easy reach and popular with UCA students.
